The reports that appear on international portals about Paraguayan citizens that are now included in the Visa Waiver program, or VWP, are false.
Paraguay is not currently part of the Visa Waiver Program. The news is false. Changes to visa requirements are always posted on travel.state.gov and the relevant web pages of the embassies or consulates involved. Potential visa applicants are advised to ignore information from unauthorized sources or unrealistic newsletters.
The Department of Homeland Security, which administers the VWP program in consultation with the Department of State, has not announced any inclusion in the said program.
