The Paraguayan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Health announced that they have updated their vaccination website (https://www.vacunate.gov.py/) to allow all foreigners in Paraguay to register for COVID-19 vaccines.
- Those with Paraguayan cedulas may register by selecting “Registro Ciudadania.”
- Those without Paraguayan cedulas may register by selecting “Registro Extranjeros.”
Foreigners are eligible to receive vaccines in the same priority order as Paraguayans. At this time, the Ministry of Health is enrolling health care workers and those over the age of 60 as part of Phase 1 of the National Vaccination Plan. The Embassy will send a message when Paraguay moves to Phase 2, which includes those with certain underlying health conditions, teachers, critical infrastructure workers, and the indigenous population.
Eligible individuals will need to complete the online form with their name, identification document number, date of birth, cell phone number, and place of residence in Paraguay. They will also need to answer questions concerning any current medical conditions or treatment. The Ministry of Health has posted a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the registration and vaccination process here: https://www.vacunate.gov.py/index-preguntas-frecuentes.html.
