This morning Ambassador, Leslie Bassett, and the Paraguayan Minister of Education, Dr. Marta Lafuente, signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This agreement will facilitate and formalize several cooperation projects in areas of common interest.
With the signing of this agreement, the U.S. Embassy will continue working on several programs in the area of English teaching, both for students and for teachers. The Embassy will also continue offering programs to promote science in public schools, as well as training programs for public school teachers, in the area of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
